High school is hard. We're not going to try and tell you otherwise because that would be lying! It's filled with new transitions, new temptations, and new company. As we enter our senior year, and look back on our previous years, we want to remind you of something:
Knowing who you are is VERY important. You have to be confident in your character and your abilities. Don't let the world tell you who you are, instead, know your worth in Jesus!
God has fearfully and wonderfully created all of us. He created us all to have different gifts and talents. Every single one of us is given something that is a small glimpse of who God is. For example, some are given the gift of hospitality or leadership. We are all different, we all have different gifts. In 1 Peter 4:10-11, it says:
Each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
No gift is more important than others, so embrace your gifts and use them to the best of your ability, because this is how God made you to be! As Christians, we are given gifts, but we are also given the duty to use our gifts to glorify God and to love other people. When each of us use our gifts to glorify the Lord, we create an atmosphere of love, kindness, and beauty. Knowing your spiritual gifts can help you maximize your outreach abilities.
You might be thinking, "How do I know what my gifts are?" We get it. It's hard to know these things! Luckily, we found a great quiz to help you figure it out.
Take this spiritual gifts test and think about how you can use your gifts to help others!
